Steak at the Little Red SteakhouseMeet at the Wine Garden! That’s the place to try some award winning wines before or after a rodeo performance. You’ll find it right near the Coliseum entrance. Not only can you taste wines for free, but you can buy a bottle of what you like.

It’s the second year in a row for the Wine Garden, an annual 7000 square foot ‘nook,’ to spring up at this cowboy conference and greet patrons with a selection of over 50 award-winning wines, including their Grand Champion Red: Alexander Valley Vineyard’s Schoolhouse 2007. What a delightful bold Cab, and it’s in limited production…I’m lucky I got a taste! Visit your local H-E-B for more of these champions – they’re available for purchase now!

And, why not plan on dinner at the Little Red Barn…check out  their great Texan-sized steaks, country fried pork chops and a vibrant atmosphere that’s right on the way to the rodeo here in San Antonio.

The Wine Garden is Beautiful this year!! Spacious and welcoming…a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine between rodeo events. The prices, quality and selection were all outstanding. Kudos to the organizers for realizing that we aren’t ALL beer drinkers in our cowboy boots and Stetsons 🙂
