Two things I love…the great state of Alaska and the delicious beer that’s found there. The good folks behind Alaskan Brewing have teamed up with Chef Justin Yoakum at Sharky’s American Grill in Houston to create a one-of-a-kind menu pairing Alaskan’s award-winning brews with the flavors and ingredients of the Last Frontier!
Direct from Juneau, Alaskan Brewer Michael King and Chef Justin will lead attendees through each of the four spectacular courses and pairings – from wild salmon to Baked Alaska. What a catch!
This dinner is set for Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 7:00 PM.

Wild salmon Carpaccio with Anaheim pepper spiked Meyer lemon vinaigrette,
black truffle and green olive coulis, arugula & frisée salad with fried caper dust
Grilled sourdough with king crab and pimento cheese spread, Gruyere cheese, and Granny Smith apple relish
Paired with Alaskan White Ale
Salt baked Caribou (Reindeer) with curried carrot cous cous in smoked tomatillo broth
Deep fried halibut cheeks with Chipotle Key lime remoulade over a bed of green and red kale slaw tossed in a brown butter vinaigrette
Paired with Alaskan Amber
Jumbo Scallops in green curry stacked over oven-roasted ratatouille with guava mint chutney, cherry red tomato broth and aged balsamic curry oil
Marinated Jumbo Prawn Thai noodle salad
Paired with Alaskan IPA
Baked Alaska with pistachio crusted white cake, Alaskan White Ale–infused ice cream and toasted meringue
