The Bayou City does Mother’s Day Brunch

Mothers Day Brunch

Take your mother out and show her what it’s all about! Houston is already one of the best culinary destinations in Texas and nobody deserves to know more than Mom. Plenty of pickings for her special day all across town…Happy Mother’s Day!

HalibutAs you can tell from this year’s menu, Masraff’s on the Boulevard takes Mother’s Day to heart! 2012 promises offerings like their delectable pan-seared halibut. This is also one place you don’t want to skip out on a cocktail or dessert. Try your palate at a handful of delectable drinks like Rosie’s Cocoa Berry Martini or the always tempting Masraff’s Original Sin, while savoring this chocolate cannelloni with banana brulee…you’ll be happy you indulged!

Houstonian Grande BallroomEnjoy a bountiful brunch on the big day at the Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, with a marvelous celebration going on in the Grande Ballroom. Seafood LIVES with pan roasted Halibut, Lobster Benedict and a delicious crawfish and wild mushroom quiche…just to name a few. Champagne and Mimosas are also included! Once brunch is finished, it might be time to go poolside at the Gazebo

Mo's...A Place for SteaksA six course extravaganza should do the trick for Mom at Mo’s Steakhouse. Their Mother’s Day menu features classics like steaks & eggs or exotics such as the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with Blackened Salmon and more. Afterwards, it’s all about the selection of fruity sorbets!

An intimate atmosphere and award winning cuisine is what Mom will find on Sunday at Backstreet Café! To view the entire menu, click here. This is one of my favorite low-key locations in H-town. My dish is the Short Rib and Butternut Squash Hash with Poached Eggs.

Haven's Chocolate Icebox pieChef Randy Evans’ green-inspired restaurant, Haven, is a welcome retreat for Mom. Peak at their Mother’s Day menu.. How about a round of Haven’s South Texas Dove to celebrate all she does? Wild Brown Gulf Shrimp, fresh as can be, are a hot ticket item right now…and who can forget their famous Chocolate Cookie Icebox Pie? I never leave there without a slice!
