It’s Fiesta time! No doubt about it. Brighton Center’s A Taste of the Northside always has something special in-store for party goers, and this year is no exception. I’ve never seen anything quite like this…
The fun ladies of Frost 321 use liquid nitrogen at -321 degrees Fahrenheit (whoa!) to freshly produce signature cocktails and creamy frozen desserts. It’s more than a dessert though. Take anyone’s favorite cocktail, freeze it, and you have an incredibly creamy, smooth textured treat to “toast with” and taste!
I tried several…and you can too when you get your discount VIP tickets through Goodtaste.tv RIGHT NOW for A Taste of the Northside (TONS) on Wednesday, April 23 at Sonterra.
Festive combinations like Mango Bellini, made with fresh mangos and white wine, an all-natural selection. Or the rich Crown Maple Martini…with an ice cream base and Crown whiskey, topped with pecan praline — decadently delicious and ready within a minute!
The possibilities for flavors are almost as endless as what you’d find at Chef Jason Dady’s new spot, Umai Mi, also on-hand in VIP this year at TONS. If you haven’t visited this relaxed restaurant where Bin 555 used to be, just imagine modern Asian cuisine (Thai, Japanese, Chinese) with no rules!
Jason displayed some of the standout dishes you’ll encounter there like his classic Green Papaya Salad, a Crispy Rice Salad, Shrimp Rolls and a magnificent Kung Pao Bacon, complete with dates, chiles, onion, peanuts, celery and scallions.
