Brennan’s Texas-Style Mardi Gras Soirée

Don’t look now, but Brennan’s of Houston is hosting among the most authentic Mardi Gras experiences in the city. Combine the influence of sister restaurant, Commander’s Palace, with Executive Chef Danny Trace and his Cajun roots, and Brennan’s seems the ideal spot to unwind on Fat Tuesday!

This NOLA-centric celebration pays homage to the Crescent City with a faux float, bead tossers, palm readers, a Jazz band PLUS specialty cocktails. Some menu highlights include:


Louisiana Crawfish Enchilada

Walker’s fire roasted tomatillo salsa, Pepper Jack cheese, and mirliton pico de gallo 

Mardi Foie Gras

Cast iron seared foie gras over foie mousse-stuffed pain perdu, Bayou rum flambéed strawberries,and cayenne glazed pecans 


Wood Grilled American Red Snapper

Crispy Louisiana oysters, toasted pecan rice, charred peppers, and citrus Meuniere sauce

Niman Ranch Tomahawk Pork Chop

Niman Ranch pork, roasted apple and celeriac puree, pickled southern vegetables, and fig Habanero glaze


Vieux Carre Beignets

Beaucoup powdered sugar and Café Au Lait ice cream

Carnival Flambeaux Cake

Borracho ice creams wrapped in boozy cake, flamed with Chicory coffee liqueur 

Mardi Gras Mambo King Cake
Creole cream cheese filling, Imperial sugars, and tropical rum-glazed Hawaiian pineapple
