The folks at Jackson Family Wines are sending TWO prominent Master Sommeliers and a Master of Wine to The Houstonian this fall for a Sommelier Smack Down! This lively wine dinner will be held at Manor House on Tuesday, October 18.
Master Sommeliers Larry O’Brien and Sur Lucero, along with Master of Wine Mollie Battenhouse, will pair Jackson Family Wines with elegant courses by Executive Chef Neal Cox, Manor House Chef Roland Soza, Sous Chef Jeff Boudreaux and Pastry Chef Catherine Rodriguez.
The cool part is dinner guests get to play an interactive role- sharing notes and cheering for the sommeliers to determine the best pairings.
The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with a cocktail reception, followed by a four-course dinner ($150++ per person). More on each of the three esteemed guests below. Only 50 tickets will be sold!
For those who would like to stay the night, the Houstonian Hotel is offering a special add-on rate of $229++ for a king or double room. Reservations by calling 713-685-6713.
