Osso & Kristalla
World-class eats right across the street from the World Series champions! Dining at Osso & Kristalla in Houston is a win-win situation: Delicious Italian trattoria fare awaits you after watching the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Just as baseball brings families together, Astros owner Jim Crane wanted to bring families together around a delicious meal. This weekend, you’ll get the recipe for their Creole-inspired marinated Italian shrimp that’s both vibrant and tasty. Bite into big Italian sandwiches like the Italian Dagwood and upscale Italian favorites like rigatoni and meatballs to power you through the ninth inning.
Smashin Crab
You’re guaranteed to have a smashing good time at Smashin Crab in San Antonio! Reel in Gulf seafood in a fun and lively setting where you’re encouraged to get a little messy. Order buckets of boiled lobster, shrimp, crab, mussels, and clams, with seasonal crawfish—even Cajun classics like po’ boys and grilled oysters. Dock here for good old-fashioned fun without your smartphone; after all, your fingers will be too messy to type!

Do you carry a Mexican dish already prepared known as “green spaghetti”? This is made with sour cream, pasta and green pablano peppers. Would appreciate a reply on this. Thanks so much!!

I am not familiar with that recipe, but it sounds delish! 🙂

On your wine finds, could you please tell me which ones are sweet. I’m not very familiar with wines flavors. I’ve tried a few. I like any wine that is sweet. Recently went to a nice restaurant an ordered a sweet red wine. I was told reds aren’t sweet. So now I’m confused bc one of my faves is a red sweet wine from Barefoot.

Hi Mari! We always recommend talking with a member of the wine section at your local H-E-B when looking for a particular wine. There are some great sweet red wines out there — try the Stella Rosa Red Reserve. They make it in full bottles as well as in small packable bottles, called “Stella Rosa Black Sparkling.” (See our post here: https://www.goodtaste.tv/2018/03/05/pack-beachy-wines-go/) For a sweet white wine, look for Moscato wines, which are typically very sweet. For a new sparkling wine we like, try the Chandon Sweet Star Champagne Style wine. Check out this post for more details on this wine: https://www.goodtaste.tv/2018/04/30/wonderful-new-white-wines-for-mothers-day/. Best of luck!
