A tiny, chilled glass of Limoncello is delightful, but wait till you taste this silky, lemony creation at Paesanos .
We were in the charming Italian town of Positano the first time we were introduced to Limoncello.
It was about 10:30 one morning when a shop owner asked us if we’d ever tasted Limoncello. She discovered our ‘innocence’ and sent us to a next door restaurant to get a ‘free sample’. We sampled three or four different limoncello varieties, and then the room started swaying. It’s delicious, but potent!
Yes, we bought some to take home and then discovered the clever lady in that shop who’d sent us to taste the enticing concoction actually owned the restaurant too!
Back in San Antonio, we were thrilled to discover that Chef Clark McDaniel at Paesanos 1604 serves a Limoncello dessert. He shows you how to make this sinfully delicious creation (yes, it’s made with limoncello) on my website.
Chef McDaniel serves it with a raspberry whipped cream and a raspberry sorbet.
Grazie Chef!
