Traveling a number of times to Italy and getting to know the people and lifestyle gave me a new appreciation for all things good. Italians, as well as many other Europeans, live! I noticed they find joy in the beauties of life that surround us every day—they don’t appear to be as consumed by their jobs, careers and things of that nature like we can be here.
A friend of mine (thank you Vivian) sent this incredible video link of an injured hummingbird being nurtured back to life by a couple in California. It brought such joy to my morning that I wanted to share it with all of you in case you hadn’t seen it.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of watching and really studying a hummingbird in action then you know what a beautiful creation it is—so delicate, incredibly fast and beautiful as its colorful body glistens while it feeds. I was out at Lake Austin Spa this summer sitting by the water when one of the beautiful creations stopped in mid-air less than a couple of feet from my face. We starred at each other for what seemed like minutes before the tiny soul sped away. I felt like a little angel had stopped by to say hello!
