I love Thanksgiving…it’s the one holiday that’s all about the food! I went through my recipes and grabbed some of my favorite ones for this holiday. I’ve also got some great wine suggestions. To get the full recipe click on the link. Okay…For starters…
Pumpkin Sage Tortilla Soup …this is from HEB’s Cooking Connections. It’s super easy and delicious.
Some sides I love are…
My Brussels Sprouts w/bacon and shallots
The Sonora Casserole from 410 Diner
Paesanos 1604’s incredible corn tart
And famous Dallas chef Stephan Pyles spicy cranberry dressing
For dessert…
Biga on the Bank’s famous Sticky Toffee Pudding
Messina Hof’s Pair of Ports Pie
A delicious apple pie with hard sauce
And Princess Di’s favorite bread pudding
For wines I’ve chosen a variety of inexpensive varietals that are light enough in style to go with a variety of foods.
*Mossrock Pinot Noir – about $16 at HEB –
A nice pinot for any Thanksgiving meal
*Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau – light and fruity – a celebratory wine for less than $10
*Ruta 22 – about $10 – a Malbec from Patagonia – an incredible bargain and a wonderful wine that will easily please your guests
*Mar de Frades Albarino – about $25 – more body than most Albarinos…delicious.
Happy planning everyone!
