Diana Barrios gave me this sangria recipe for my website a while back, but just to be sure she was okay with me sharing Los Barrios’ with the ‘world’, I called her to check.
Turns out she always tells her cooking classes about this particular recipe when she’s demonstrating a dish out of her popular cookbook.
‘I tell them to make the Sangria first, and then after that all of the other dishes you prepare will taste just great!,’ Trevino says.
This sangria is perfect for Fiesta, and I’d suggest using an inexpensive but tasty wine like Yellow Tail–it’s easy to find and only about $8 a bottle at HEB.
For Los Barrio’s popular sangria recipe, head to my website, Goodtaste.tv. Also, as your Fiesta Foodie, I’ve got some great Fiesta recipes and information on Taste of the Northside, one of my favorite Fiesta events.
While you’re there be sure and sign up for my newsletter.
Love Los Barrios and thank you to you & Diana Barrios for sharing. Is it possible to use splenda instead of sugar?
Tanji,
This is perfect! One of my “chores” for our upcoming GMI Sales Meeting is to host the Hospitality Room and I was planning on making a batch of Sangria. I’ll try Diana Barrios’ receipe and let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the idea.
