Where do you get the best crab cakes? Ask ten different people, and you’re likely to get ten different responses. Some will tell you that to enjoy a fresh, delicious crab cake, you might have to go to New England. Or, a few select destinations on the East Coast or in the Pacific Northwest. But I am here to tell you that you can find a great crab cake right here in Texas. And, you can even make them at home! There are so many different ways to make crab cakes too! I’ve even got a low-carb, gluten-free crab cake from Paesanos 1604. Check out some of these fab recipes below! And for Houston’s best Crab Cakes click here.
The Fig Tree’s Crab Cakes are traditional, and delicious. The Panko Bread Crumbs make for a crisp crust and the zesty Dijon sauce is just perfect!
Paesanos 1604’s Gluten-Free Crab Cakes are very light and tasty. They are steamed, not fried. But, they have all the flavor you want in a crab cake…the crab is seasoned perfectly!
Morton’s Crab Cakes are incredible! The jumbo lumps of crab are delicious and there’s almost no filler. This is a wonderful dish – easy to make too!
Shrimp and Crab Corn Cakes with Two Sauces is one of the appetizer recipes that made the late Don Strange a legend in San Antonio catering. This southwestern twist on the traditional crab cake is delish!
