“Yes, please!” to award-winning mac & cheese

An award-winning mac & cheese recipe that’s doing all the right things! Comfort food at it’s best, this recipe won Max’s Wine Dive’s Mac & Cheese competition. Not only do I have this cheesy recipe for you to try, the cool folks over at Max’s Wine Dive agreed to share their recipe too. Executive Chef Joseph Dominguez of Catalyst Catering includes this yummy dish in what he calls ‘catering for a cause.’After all, Catalyst Catering is a social enterprise of the San Antonio Food Bank, with a portion of proceeds from every order going directly back to fighting hunger! Watch the video to see how easy it is to make. The cheese sauce itself is really what stands out; a combination of all-American cheese that’s been pasteurized, chunks of fresh feta, and heavy cream. Adorn with chopped bacon, an assortment of herbs and toasted bread crumbs and you’re ready for your close-up!

Another wonderful program you should be in-the-know about from the Food Bank is their Community Kitchen – a free, 16 week course where individuals are taught an array of basic culinary skills to help them along in a promising culinary career. Most importantly, it continues to help keep food on the table for those with economic disadvantages. For more information about enrollment, please contact Chef Rudy Garza at (210) 220-2516.

This looks great! I want to make it! I don’t think your first link directs to this particular recipe though. Might be mistaken, but there appear to be different ingredients.
