Taste of New Orleans in Gaido’s BBQ shrimp


It’s my duty to spread the good news about one of my all-time favorite seafood joints…that’s Gaido’s in Galveston; a restaurant that recently celebrated it’s 100th year anniversary! I caught up with Nicolas Gaido for a crash course in their New Orleans-style Barbeque Shrimp. Powerful flavors from the Worcestershire sauce, chili flake and cracked pepper (created in-house from whole peppercorns!) are tamed in a glazed butter sauce that’s absolutely incredible! The shrimp is finished with some thinly sliced green onion for that final zest. It’s official: my mouth is watering! Also sneak a peak at their famous Crawfish Chili

Can you give us the specific amount of ingredients for the Gaido Barbeque Shrimp.

    I don’t believe the chef gave us the exact amount of the ingredients. If you’re not able to tell from the video, I’d be happy to inquire. 🙂
