Mark your calendars! An evening filled with wine tastings from 90 different wineries is something you’ll definitely want to take part in. The best part is that it’s all for a great cause.
An Evening Of Hope Wine Extravaganza benefitting Tony’s Prostate Cancer Research to find a non-invasive cure for prostate cancer will be held September 22nd from 6 p.m.-11p.m. at The Wynden in Houston. Allow your palate to take a trip around the world and sample some of the top wines from different regions. Representatives from various wineries will be on hand to answer questions during the tastings.
What would an event be without food? Masraff’s Restaurant will be providing the amazing fare throughout the evening.
In addition to the tastings, a live auction, raffles and live music will be among the entertainment. It’s an evening I wouldn’t miss!
Tony’s Prostate Cancer Research is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by Tony Masraff. Masraff, who is one of the owners of Masraff’s Restaurant (one of my very favorites), has made it his goal to create awareness and find a cure for prostate cancer. Their research at M.D. Anderson in Houston is fascinating. In a fabulous recent development, the FDA awarded them permission to begin human trials on a drug, a protein actually, they’ve discovered that is killing the cancer in lab mice. That takes money, and that’s where you can help.
