There’s certainly more to do in Napa than just taste incredible wines. A girl’s gotta eat, right? Brix Restaurant is one of the best places to spend an afternoon or evening enjoying the gorgeous setting and feasting upon homegrown produce from their garden.
Lucky for my husband Mike and I, we were present during harvest! While there, I caught up with Executive Chef Chris Jones for the play-by-play on his mint pesto ricotta gnocchi tossed with seasonal veggies – a fun twist to a very ‘forgiving’ recipe, according to Chef Chris, that’s crafted in-house. The special treat was the freshly picked squash blossoms he used…truly delicious!
Try pairing yours with the 2011 Sauvignon Blanc from the Kelleher family (also the owners of Brix). Crisp and rich enough to tackle that squash! For more delicious recipes and fun food and wine pairing ideas, subscribe to my newsletter.
