His honors include consecutive awards of excellence from The Wine Spectator and chef appearances at the James Beard House in New York City. Chef Hugo was even named “Chef of the Year” in 2011 at the prestigious Houston Culinary Awards, and a 2012 finalist for the James Beard Award.
