The resident chef, Daniel Dirmeyer, recently received the devastating news that his 8-year old daughter Emma has been diagnosed with a horribly aggressive brain cancer. While Daniel and his family have some support, the cost of treatment is far beyond the reach of what most young families can afford.
Here’s How You Can Help…
On January 20th from noon to 3pm, Biga on the Banks will host a brunch to help cover a small part of Emma’s treatment. This brunch is an official DreamWeek San Antonio event, on a day designated to celebrate “spirit” (and Emma has plenty of that!).
Plus, the culinary community has stepped up to the plate…
A stellar line-up of some of the finest local chefs committed to this fundraiser include: Mark Bliss, Damian and Lisa Watel, Jason Dady, Chad Carey, Diana Barrios Trevino, Andrew Weismann, Zack Lutton, Gabriel Ibarra, Lisa Filip, Steven McHugh, Brian West, Blanca Aldaco and Luca Della Casa.
Ultimat Vodka will be sponsoring the Bloody Mary Bar! Henry Brun and the International Trio will also be donating their musical talents to the cause. There will also be a silent auction with gift certificates from Chefs in Dallas, Houston & Austin will be up for grabs!
