Welcome to one of my favorite restaurants in all of Houston, Haven. Owner and lead chef, Randy Evans, agreed to hand over a recipe for a dish that has been on Haven’s menu since the very beginning — over 3 years now! That dish is Haven’s ever-popular Wild Boar Chili, available year round.

The meat comes from Broken Arrow Ranch out in Ingram, Texas. The large chunks of rough cut, stew meat are delicious with an array of spices…creole, chili powder, cumin. The result is a fiery meal that’s delicious! Randy even made a Frito Pie with it…
Top it off with jalapeño cheddar cheese, minced onion and cilantro and Mexican-style crema. Watch the video as Chef Randy does an excellent job walking you through all of the steps! I also preview the cold bar at Cove, Haven’s latest international raw seafood bar. Imagine an oyster bar, ceviche bar and sushi bar all rolled into one!
