You’re about to experience one of my favorite cities on the entire planet – San Francisco! Every time I visit there’s only one place I ever stay…that’s the Westin St. Francis on Union Square. And trust me: I’ve been coming here a LONG time! There’s actually a cable car that stops right outside the front door. How cool is that?
There’s a rich history that exists at the Westin St. Francis — one that dates back to 1904! Kings, queens, presidents…all have seen their fair share of mornings at this lavish location. Oh if these walls could talk! According to General Manager Jon Kimball, a hotel with such a pedigree is exactly the reason people find themselves returning. There’s an emotional connection here and I can personally attest to that.
Although so much great history has managed to survive, that’s not to say they haven’t made the move into the 21st Century. Crisp, innovative and creative, high technology manages to accent your stay, down to the finest of details. The same can also be said of their celebrated cuisine. I caught up with Chef Tom Rimpel behind kitchen doors to get the skinny on a soup that’s been a staple on their menu for two decades: their Dungeness Crab Chowder with Anchor Steam Beer and Muenster Cheese.

My friends at Westin St. Francis are also in on my latest sweepstakes – a Goodtaste Golden Gate Getaway for 2 to San Francisco! Part of this package includes 3 nights in the lap of luxury at this hotel.
