Burger Palace's 'French Connection'

I chose some of my favorite burgers to show you from some of the more popular hamburger spots. Burgers are big buzz in the food world – everything from gourmet, out of the box creations to the good old-fashioned cheeseburger. The key – top notch ingredients. Ya gotta have great buns and high quality meat and then build from there!

First up – The Burger Palace

This popular spot on Sage Rd uses the finest hamburger meat money can buy -100% Akaushi. Akaushi grades at least two times higher than prime, and Heartbrand Akaushi (as it’s called) is also lower in cholesterol and saturated fats than other domestic beef. I LOVED their ‘French Connection’…

  • Egg Bun
  • Tarragon watercress aioli
  • Baby spinach
  • 100% Akaushi Beef
  • House blend burger seasoning
  • Sauteed crimini mushrooms with sundried tomatoes
  • Brie cheese
  • Pesto

Another great burger is the Luckenbach/aka Tripe Bypass from Dry Creek:


  • Wheat Bun
  • One fried egg
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Bacon
  • Tabasco Mayo

Another great choice at Dry Creek is Vera’s Burger

  • Brioche
  • Turkey burger
  • Feta
  • Avacado
  • Cucumber
  • Spouts
  • Lemon Aioli

Last but not at all least is the delicious Kobe Burger with Blue Cheese & Bacon From Max’s Wine Dive – so simple but so scrumptious:



  • Brioche Bun
  • Danish Blue Cheese
  • Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • Avocado
  • Organic Bibb Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Jalapenos

What is the name of the wine that you had with this burger shown above? You said it was a private label made for HEB by the same people that make Le Creme.
