Keep it simple – and keep it Texas! Once you step inside, there’s no mistaking where you are. Every nook and cranny of the Hofbräu & Beer Garden is an homage to our love of the Lone Star State. Lest we forget, you’ll also find some fabulous food, made from scratch, using quality ingredients from my friends at Sysco…
As rodeo season approaches, expect the Hofbräu’s two locations to be packed with folks in the mood for live country music (Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights!) and a legendary Dos-a-Rita or two. So round up your crew of cowboys and cowgirls and scoot on over for the whole Texas experience!
Chef James Blanton sat down with us to share some of the new specials you’ll find on their menu right now. Some healthy, others just plain creative…
Take their traditional Chicken Fried Ribeye with a twist: pounded out and stuffed with jalapeño, Cheddar, double-battered and deep-fried for a taste that’s truly Texan. And it feeds more than a few!
There’s also two spectacular salads to look out for – a Cilantro Caesar that makes use of baby romaine, toasted pumpkin seeds, and fried jalapeño croutons for a crunchy kick. Then the Texas Wedge: iceberg lettuce topped with pico de gallo, candied bacon and served with queso fresco and blue cheese dressing.
If you’re feeling extra adventurous, direct your attention to the Chicken Fried Quail, plated atop apple and sweet potato hash, in a delectable citrus butter sauce. The Smoked Brisket Empanadas were a favorite of mine…smoked in-house and jazzed up with a mango habanero sauce.
Plus – do yourself a favor and savor this ceviche! Hofbräu takes a Dos-a-Rita, reduces it down to cook out the alcohol, and adds agave fruit…prickly pear, mango, along with pico de gallo and fresh shrimp for some ‘pep’ to that two-step of yours.
