Fabulous options for sipping this Fiesta season – or anytime! Multiple picks for margaritas, sangria, beer as well as a few other specialty cocktails to keep you honest are as follows:
…Margaritas…
Just say yes to this ice-cold watermelon margarita from Blanca Aldaco. It is delightfully refreshing and perfect for any fiesta! Imagine a wonderfully fruity, tangy treat to treasure! …Sangria…
Sangria is superb anytime! Like Franklin’s Cheap Sangria of Dry Comal Creek Winery. Try making it the night before, so you can let all of the ingredients marinate. Los Barrios also has an interesting twist on an old favorite by a beloved San Antonio family! They make their sangria with fresh applesauce! Also try this tropical and lush Lychee Sangria from Chicago.
…Beer…
Homegrown Real Ale Brewing Co. really makes it count for the Lone Star State! Enjoy one of their popular craft beers like the Fireman’s #4, a clean blonde ale with a fruity aftertaste, or the Rio Blanco Pale Ale, a uniquely Texan interpretation of an English-style pale ale.
…Others…
The Elderflower liquer is the magic touch behind this fiesty Fiesta Fizz. It comes from the French Alps where the elderflowers are handpicked each Spring and then carried by bicycle back to the factory where the delicate liqueur is made – Yum! Pearl Brewery is home to an orange cocktail, aka the Carnavalito a la Fiesta, that I’m rather fond of…be sure to pay them a visit during the 10-day celebration this month. Of course, there’s also Bohanan’s Mai Tai to consider…it’s excellent poolside as you might have guessed.
