Experience where hot Havana nights come alive at one of Austin’s newest hangouts. Pleasant Storage Room (PSR) is an homage to the cultural exuberance of Golden Age Cuba and the Caribbean during the early to mid-20th century.
This PSR, once the name of a popular Havana haunt for locals in the 1940s, is tucked into 4th Street in the heart of downtown’s Warehouse District. The exposed brick, marble counter tops and brass fixtures juxtaposed with graffiti and old-world tile, give Austinites a taste of the fascinating island culture of Cuba.
Street food favorites like their Conch de Leon Ceviche and Tostones [above] are part of this cutting-edge, culinary pulse that nourishes repeat business. Pleasant Storage Room is also home to the most diverse and expansive rum selection in the Southwest!
A refreshing staple that reflects Austin’s progressive cocktail culture is their Mojito, crafted with Flor de Caña 4 year White Rum — renowned as one of the best rums in all of Latin America. Be sure to try PSR for Happy Hour, Tuesday thru Friday from 5-7PM. Their ceviche (along with the jerk chicken and Overproof Rum Punch) go for just $5 during this time, as well as daiquiris, mojitos and Cuba libres for $6!
