Are you looking to treat mom this Mother’s Day? No problem! Here’s a list of some great places to take her in the Houston area.
Whether she loves brunch or a nice dinner, we have you covered with our list of favorites. As always, reservations are recommended, since tables fill up fast!
Masraff’s is keeping the whole family in mind for Mother’s Day brunch. The children’s menu has it all — from a ham and cheese croissant to ice cream sundaes. For adults, you can pick from caramelized diver scallops, a rack of lamb or a jumbo lump crab and french brie cheese omelet as an entree.
For dessert, a chocolate bread pudding s’more or sorbet will nicely round out the meal…
Kiran’s really says “I love you, Mom” with their brunch spread. Start out with a poached peach bellini or mimosa and work your way through their crafted brunch menu; a full-out four course meal with everything from a tomato saffron soup to waffles with syrup and bananas (with Nutella and hazelnut!) and a Tandoori cornish hen. Naan included!
Olivette inside The Houstonian will offer a special brunch menu from 11am-5pm. They’ll still have their regular menu, but will offer special items in addition to your favorite Olivette dishes.
Liberty Kitchen & Oyster Bar will be offering their traditional menu for lunch and brunch all day.
Haven Restaurant is serving up an a la carte brunch throughout the day. They’ll also offer a three-course brunch for $45 per person that includes one of my favorite fixtures, their Shrimp & Grits…
El Toro in Baytown will be serving their Tex-Mex favorites off their regular menu all day long. They tell Goodtaste they’ll have a special of the day, but that hasn’t been announced yet.
Caracol will have a brunch buffet on Mother’s Day. Their brunch buffet changes weekly, so you every weekend is a bit of a surprise! Pair that with a mimosa and you’re all set.
Prego Italian Restaurant is offering a four-course prix-fixed menu for $42 per person. A soup, salad, entree and side are included. Reservations are going quickly!
Jasper’s – The Woodlands will have a special brunch going for $38 per person. Their three-course menu has everything from rotisserie chicken creamy masa soup to Champagne battered New Zealand mussels and vanilla French toast. Top off your meal with the dessert trio…so worth it!
Backstreet Cafe will have a special Mother’s Day brunch menu with everything from fried green tomatoes to soft shell crab Benedict and mocha meringue cake. It’ll be served from 10am-3pm.
Hugo’s Regional Mexican Cuisine is fully booked for reservations, but they tell Goodtaste you’re still welcome to come in for brunch. Expect an hour to an hour and a half wait though! They’ll serve up their Sunday brunch buffet with Mexican favorites from 10am-2:30pm.
Tony Mandola’s will have a special Mother’s Day brunch prepared alongside their routine brunch and lunch menus. Enjoy traditional favorites from the weekend brunch menu like lemon crepes, brunch tacos and grandma’s lasagna with your mom.
Brennan’s will have a special three-course brunch that will run $56 per person. Try their five tomato salad, shrimp & grits, country ham & eggs and coconut cream pie. My picks!
