The hottest time of the year calls for a real show-stopper or two to entertain with. Goodtaste hooked up with Chef Adrian Perez of H-E-B Cooking Connection at Montrose Market for fun ways to prep your lobster and shrimp…simple, classic and effective!
Lobster is such an elegant, beautiful choice — and H-E-B has their fresh caught selection available everyday. To make these Grilled Truffle Herb Lobster Tails, toss a few lobster tails cut side down on the grill (charcoal or gas), and give it about 5 minutes on each side for a radiant red coloring. Spoon on your butter mixins’…don’t be shy! That’s European-style butter, fresh chopped chives, roasted garlic (for a little crunch) and black pepper.
Next, serve these sizzling, succulent tails over Israeli couscous (a beautifully shaped, healthy grain). Garnish with a bit of tropical salt for just a hint of spice. The ingredients speak for themselves and really take things to the next level!
Dish #2, our Chardonnay Shrimp Sauté, is all about shrimp…but it’s the marinade we use that really steals the show!
H-E-B’s shrimp comes already peeled, deveined and thawed for easy eats at a moment’s notice. Heat up your skillet with Spanish olive oil and lay your shrimp flat and evenly spaced. You’ll want a nice sear for 1 minute – 1:30, before flipping over.
Then comes my favorite part…the addition of Napa Jack’s Chardonnay & Roasted Garlic Marinade. What flavor! They also have a line for red wine lovers – their Cabernet.
Allow things to cook for a few more minutes before serving over a bed of Angel Hair pasta. We also have the perfect wine pairing for both our lobster and shrimp dishes: the Artesa Estate Reserve Chardonnay. It’s crisp, clean and slightly oaky. A Napa Valley hidden gem! Enjoy!
Watch us prepare both dishes on Great Day Houston…
