We reckon it’s one of the most beautiful spots in the entire country — if not the world! The San Antonio River Walk attracts people from all over for its unique culture and vibrant culinary scene. From its one-of-a-kind restaurants to the beautiful barges of Rio San Antonio Cruises that enhance the sightseeing experience, you’re welcome to one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Texas!
One spot both locals and visitors can agree on anytime is Boudro’s. Among the attributes to its iconic menu is perhaps the most popular margarita on the River Walk…Boudro’s Prickly Pear Margarita. Enjoy it indoors at the restaurant, or on the move aboard one of the aforementioned barges, complete with a full catering service from Boudro’s. How cool is that?
Boudro’s sommelier, Peter Fitzgerald, laid out the steps to concocting this world-class cocktail. You begin with a fresh prickly pear. There’s a special way to peel and cut this exotic fruit open to reveal a brilliant inner layer, before letting the fruit macerate in tequila for a solid 48 hours. Then comes extracting the prickly pear puree using a strainer and its ready to add to your frozen margarita.
Boudro’s sells more of this drink than any other BY FAR! See why, after all this time, this margarita is still the buzz of this picturesque downtown location. See you on the River Walk soon!
