Living in South Texas, we get to enjoy grilling out by the pool any time of year. Not a pool owner just yet? It’s also the best time to start planning to put one in for spring — pricing doesn’t get any better than right now!

Goodtaste is celebrating all-things Tuscan for the holidays this year. We linked up with Groomer’s Seafood out at the beautiful Keith Zars Pools complex for a sneak peak at their incredible seafood spread, cooked and ready for the Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve…
If you’re not familiar with this Italian-American tradition, the practice finds its roots in Catholicism. The “7” is a reference to a number of biblical representations, from the Seven Sacraments to the Seven hills of Rome.
Groomer’s provides some of the freshest seafood in town, and held no punches with their Feast-worthy selection. The dish that really caught my eye were the Grilled Rock Lobster Tails [above] — very sweet!
Other Standouts:
Heirloom Tomato and Baby Octopus Salad
Sea Scallops St. Jacques
Whole Grilled Branzino
Bacon Wrapped Colossal Gulf Shrimp
The fact that our little retreat by the water occurred on Keith Zars property was just the icing on the cake. And if you’re really going all out for Christmas this year, a pool — even a spa — would make an AMAZING gift for your family to enjoy for years to come!
