From all of us at Goodtaste.tv, we wish you the happiest of holidays as we look towards 2015. But first — you’ve got a seat at our family table for Tuscan Christmas!
This year, we’re featuring recipes that originate from one of the most beloved foodie capitals in the entire world. Discover your inner Italian with my homestyle take on Bollito Misto [above], which essentially translates to ‘Italian Boiled Dinner’ or meat stew.
My spread is simple and economical to prepare with beef brisket, a chicken, and Italian sausage. I put everything on a platter with finger potatoes and carrots cut into thirds, as well as the Gorgonzola and Salsa Verde sauces I made to accompany. They’re super easy to do – included in our recipe!
We divided the rest of our Tuscan themed recipes into dinner and our after-dinner delights…BRAVO!

This was an appetizer at a delightful restaurant near Montalcino, Italy in a tiny village called Sant’angelo in Colle. In my very broken Italian I asked for the recipe. Served in a heavenly Parmesan Cream sauce.
Les Dames’ Italian Braised Short Ribs:

Short ribs with cheesy Rosemary Polenta from fellow Dame (yes I’m a member now!) Michele Scicolone of New York City. A savory sensation that is tender to the fork!

This is my mom’s Italian Cream Cake recipe. It’s chock full of coconut, pecans and buttery goodness— iced with a rich cream cheese frosting. This cake is a labor of love and only makes appearances during the most special time of the year in our house—Christmas.
