And now for some not so ordinary treats for this Valentine’s Day. Guys, just remember, even if she says she doesn’t want anything…she does. The devil is in the details and it’s the little things that count. From scented cosmetics to dark chocolate caramel tarts 13 YEARS in the making, what you need to know for your celebration of love on Great Day Houston!
Have a date with these over-the-top Chocolate Caramel Tarts – an idea for a recipe I originally found in a 2002 edition of Martha Stewart’s mag. I rediscovered the recipe recently and have already made multiple batches! They’re so easy to do. Make your own crust or find pre-formed cups at Central Market or H-E-B. This dessert takes no time at all and is very inexpensive to assemble!
One of the simplest things you can ever make is this Chocolate/Strawberry Bark [below]. Melt chocolate to make your own ganache. Refrigerate for 20 minutes and you’re done!
Part of romance is looking the part! Set the mood and watch sparks fly with this Chocolate Scented Eye Palette from Sephora at the Galleria. Talk about an eye-popping aphrodisiac…
Take things up a notch with a box of gourmet chocolates that come inside a chocolate box…that is, an edible chocolate box of chocolates! Find about more these and Schacolad’s edible body paint at their website. We’ll drink to a fun twist on how you consume your sparklings with these Chocolate Champagne Flutes:
Find both of my flirty wine selections seen on Great Day Houston at your local H-E-B. When pairing with dessert, a general rule of thumb is to have your wine be sweeter than what you’re eating.
