Pull up a chair on the terrace at Harold’s – an awesome spot for a cool breeze and a hearty meal in The Heights! This casual neighborhood eatery specializes in southern cuisine made from local Houston ingredients. Executive Chef Antoine Ware comes by way of New Orleans, a Texas transplant after Hurricane Katrina who decided to stay. We’re sure glad he did!
A little bit of trivia…over half a century ago, an iconic figure in The Heights neighborhood named Harold Wiesenthal was instrumental in creating (and fostering) the Texan hospitality the neighborhood has become known for.
Today, Harold’s is the ultimate spot for comfort food, from exquisite Mirliton Crab Cakes (named for the type of squash included) to Chef’s famous Crawfish Pasta with a fabulous ‘hot butter’ sauce–recipe below!
Recipes-
