Who doesn’t like a good sandwich. The trouble is where to go to find one! Not anymore. Republic of Sandwich is a tiny, chef-driven deli and craft sandwich shop off Hancock Dr., specializing in house-cured meats and artisanal sides. Put this BYOB place atop your weekend to-do list! It’s also open for breakfast. 🙂
The sandwiches at ROS only use natural, environmentally responsible ingredients. Let’s start with a special going on right now, the Summer Swine. Packed with watermelon, arugula, feta, pulled pork–in a balsamic reduction. A fabulously fruity experience all around:
Check out our video from this week’s We are Austin for more on these incredible sandwiches. We taste-tested two other menu staples, The Big Bad Wolf (ham, bacon, roast pork, provolone & celery seed slaw) as well as the Jive Turkey (turkey, tomato, cherry pepper spread, pepperjack and basil pesto). Fun names, even better sandwiches! Enjoy!

I found all of these at the H-E-B Westlake- with a little help from Wine Manager Will Bliss!
