There’s a new spot for Italian that’s redefining what it means to be a “family friendly” establishment! In addition to its location next to the Austin Children’s Museum, the Kids Menu at L’Oca d’Oro (“The Golden Goose”) was actually designed by local Austin kids! Not a bad way to score with parents. 😉
That’s amore you’ll only find at L’Oca d’Oro, where individual and shareable Italian plates make the rounds. As much as possible, the ingredients are carefully sourced from local farms and purveyors, while items from the pastas to bread, cheeses, vinegars and liqueurs are all made in-house.
Chef Fiore Tedesco leads an impressive team that especially shines during brunch. This Full Italian breakfast with poached eggs, prosciutto, slab of bacon, grilled tomato, mushroom conserva, arugula and toast says it all:
