KUU

Everything at KUU Restaurant is a feast for the senses! From the way the food is plated and presented to the visually stunning décor with its high-tech interior design. The name KUU (pronounced “koo”) literally translates to ‘the art of eating.’

At this Houston hideout, the food is the medium and the plates are the canvas! Think modern Japanese cuisine served tapas style, the ingredients locally raised and seasonal from Executive Chef Adison Lee. This master artisan has a gift for combining unusual textures and flavors into one big adventurous delight! He even introduced me to some wine pairings I would’ve never thought possible…a big red with sushi??

STONE WERKS

Whether it’s a night out on the patio, a few drinks at the bar, or maybe just a quick bite after work, Stone Werks in San Antonio covers all your bases! It’s also a place for some really good love connections too…so we’re told! “Let’s meet at Stone Werks,” is a phrase folks in the Alamo City have been saying for over 20 years. Long known for Big Rock burgers, hand-tossed pizzas and super-sized salads, their menu now includes some fun new fine dining options at an affordable price!

That’s where their tantalizing pan-seared Ahi Tuna [above] comes into play with a spicy toasted coconut sauce I had to get the recipe for. I loved it so much, I ate it for back-to-back dinners! How’s that for a craving!
