We’re so excited to share the details about one of the most fun foodie events in South Texas! The 15th anniversary (can’t believe it’s been 15 years already!) of the Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair gets cooking April 4 through April 8, 2018. Organizers have just released a partial list of their participating chefs and it already looks tasty (as usual!).
This “Melting Pot of Cuisines and Talent” features award-winning chefs, master sommeliers, top mixologists and themed foodie events. This year’s overall theme will be celebrating the Gulf Coast as well as global foods, cultures and traditions.
The Grand Tasting event on Friday, April 6, will include Brian O’Hea from the Academe at The Kennebunk Inn, Elise Russ from Clementine, Ricky Cruz from Grotto Restaurant, Andrew Lobeck from Merlion Restaurant, Alex Padilla from the Original Ninfa’s on Navigation, Ben Runkle from Salt & Time, Tai Nguyen from SeaSide Poke, Ming Pu from The 502 Bar & Bistro, Kourtenie Tyson from The Burning Pear, Mike Irvin from The Palm and Jett Hurapan from The Sugar Refinery Grub & Grogs.
The partial list of restaurants participating at the Sip & Stroll event on Saturday, April 7, include Academe at The Kennebunk Inn, Avenida Brazil, Black Walnut Café, Capone’s Brick Oven Pizza & Bar, Eric’s Restaurant, Fluff Bake Bar, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Guerrilla Gourmet, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Ramble Creek Grill, Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery, Southern Ice Cream, Social Ice, The Sugar Refinery Grub & Grogs and The Swinging Door.
The partial list of restaurants participating at the Bistro Brunch event on Sunday, April 8, include AGU Ramen, Antone’s Original Po Boys, Belle Station, Cicada Catering Co., Cupcake and a Smile, Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex, Fluff Bake Bar, Grimaldi’s, Guerrilla Gourmet, Mala Sichuan Bistro, Marini’s Empanada House, Old Main Street Bakery, Ol’ Railroad Café, Ramble Creek Grill, Rockstar Bagels, Sambuca, Southern Ice Cream, Social Ice and The Sugar Refinery Grub & Grogs.
