Locals and tourists alike all flock to San Antonio to enjoy the Alamo City’s beloved Riverwalk. Some of the hottest spots at this outdoor attraction are Boudro’s and it’s sister restaurant, Zinc. Perfect for special occasions, private events or just because, both locations offer a unique and beautiful dining experience. Check out the full segment by pressing “play” or clicking the link here.
Now, on to the food! First, we have Zinc’s delicious and crispy-thin Margharita Pizza made with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil & some extra virgin olive oil. This pizza is phenomenal, and I’ve paired it with a glass of their Sangria that’s perfect for these hot days. This fruity drink is made with Spanish Tempranillo, brandy, pomegranate juice, simple syrup, Triple Sec and served with fresh fruit.
Next, for some lighter fare, here is a beautiful bright Heirloom Tomato Watermelon Salad from Zinc, shown above. Heirloom tomatoes, watermelon, arugula, pickled red onions, shaved radish, kalamata olives, candied almonds, and feta cheese all come together and are drizzled and tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette great for any day. For those of you who’d like something heartier, the Grilled Angus Flank Steak at Zinc is your dish! Steak, frisse, roasted fingerling potatoes, charred baby carrots, shaved red onions, are delightfully topped with a smoked tomato vinaigrette and chimichurri.
And last, but certainly not least, this sky-high Achiote Spiced Double Rib Lamb Chops, shown above, from Boudro’s is out of this world! Made with a ragu of hot and sweet peppers, cheesy grits and pomegranate demi-glace, you cannot go wrong.
