This weekend on an all-new episode of Goodtaste with Tanji, you’re in for an award-winning Chicken-Fried Steak, Enchiladas smothered in Chile Sauce, and Meatloaf just like Grandma’s. First, we’re heading to the Texas Hill Country to visit a bumping spot with rocking live music and food to match. At O’Brien’s Restaurant, the menu of country cooking like burgers and fries is kicked up with Peach Martinis and Prime-Rib smothered in Garlic Herb Butter. Then, we visit with the Enchilada Queen herself at Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen. She shares some of the secrets behind her success like her traditional way of making enchiladas by seasoning each and every tortilla by hand. Lastly, we’re making a stop at The Buttermilk Café, which is run by a mother-daughter duo who will make you feel right at home. Pop over for breakfast or lunch and dig into stacks of fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes or the New Orleans-style coastal breakfast with Fresh Gulf Shrimp and Green Chile Cheese Grits.
