Goodtaste with Tanji – Season 4 Episode 16

We’re kicking up the tequila a notch with some Texas-strong margaritas, savoring authentic homemade pasta and loving on some garlicky Eggs Florentine. Our first stop is the Alamo City where we visit a little Mexican spot called El Mirasol. We’ll get a bite of the tender Tacos Al Pastor made with marinated pork, onions and pineapple all tucked inside a fluffy homemade tortilla. Next, we’ll head to Carmelo’s Cucina Italiana in Houston for classic Italian comfort food. We dig in to a massive bone-in Veal Parmesan that’s fried golden brown and smothered with fresh mozzarella, Parmesan and the restaurant’s famous pomodoro sauce. Last, we head to the heart of central Texas to Monument Cafe in Georgetown. This roadside diner specializes in breakfast and lunch, but what we hear everyone raves about is the decadent desserts like the Coconut Cream Pie.
