As we embark on the final week of 2019, yearly reflections and, of course, a whole lot of cooking and entertaining, we dug into our archives and found the most viewed and requested recipes from YOU, our viewers and fans, this year. You asked and we delivered A LOT of recipes this year! Here, you’ll find Goodtaste’s top 12 most-clicked recipes of 2019.
Be sure to let us know what you want more of—we love hearing from you and seeing how your recipes turn out!
January: Fat Flush Soup 2.0
This redux of our original Fat Flush soup was our most clicked recipe of January 2019. This year, start your resolutions with a bang too and make this creamy coconut milk soup tinted with detoxing turmeric and loaded with vegetables and lime juice. Also, hint hint, since y’all loved it so much, we just might have 3.0 on deck for 2020!
February: Goya’s 4-Ingredient Coconut Custard with Chocolate Crumbles
When it comes to Valentine’s Day, we love easy desserts like this 4-ingredient coconut pudding from our partners at Goya.
March: Cod en Papillote with Blood Orange and Fennel
In March, we celebrated Lent with this elegant fish recipe. Cooking en papillote is a no-fuss, simple way to cook fish that doesn’t make a mess out of your kitchen. In this recipe, we use cod, blood orange, and fennel with salty olives and capers for an aromatic dish that transports you right to the French coast.
April: Hash Brown Breakfast “Nests”
How perfect are these adorable hashbrown breakfast nests for Easter brunch? Whether you’re hosting a crowd or having breakfast for dinner, these all-in-one hash brown cups are so easy to make. Plus, they’re completely gluten-free!
May: Derby Day Spread
In the south, we love celebrating Derby Day! This easy spread of snacks is exactly what we want to be munching on during the race. We had ham and cheese sliders dressed with everything-bagel spice and deviled eggs with pimento cheese, plus a retro relish tray full of fresh vegetables and pickles to snack on.
June: Mexican Street Corn Dogs
These street food-inspired hot dogs are the epitome of summer. Make them when the fresh summer corn is sweet and ready to eat.
July: Mixed Berry Pandowdy
We have all heard of mile-high-pie for the 4th of July, but what about the classic “pandowdy”? This patriotic dessert has just the right amount of old school cool. Here, we used summer’s abundant berries to make the filling, but you could also use peaches in the summer, or apples and pears in fall and winter!
August: The ULTIMATE Tomato Sandwich
This epic tomato sandwich turned a lot of heads this summer! At the peak of tomato season, you’ll find us piling tomatoes high on crusty country bread, layering on the herbs, and finishing with salted sunflower seeds for crunch.
September: H-E-B’s Street Corn Queso
You’ve probably noticed that our team here at Goodtaste loves H-E-B wine and recipes – and this one was no exception! This corn-infused queso has a bit of crunch and a big ol’ Texas kick! We loved it as much as you!
October: Beaver’s Chicken-Fried Steak
When season 5 of Goodtaste TV launched in October, we shared with you a favorite from Beaver’s in Houston: the downhome Chicken-Fried Steak. Make it again and don’t forget the best part: the Bacon-Bourbon-Shroom Gravy. Yummm.
November: Turkey Roulade with Bourbon Gravy
Sysco Foodie’s Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Roulade with Wild Mushroom Stuffing and Bourbon Gravy was a major hit around Thanksgiving, but this is a recipe you can make all fall and winter. The bacon wrapped around the turkey breast keeps the white meat juicy and tender. As the bacon cooks, the rendered fat seeps into the roulade.
December: Nutter Butter Reindeer Cookies
December was all about the cookies. From nutty reindeer to gooey hot cocoa cookies, everyone had a craving for sweets! These adorable cookies above were one of our favorites to adorn our holiday cookie plates.
Annette Kovar says
There’s a fabulous restaurant out in Simonton! The food and country ambience is fabulous! Surrounded by green pastures and cattle grazing, it’s a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
