If you’re planning spending the holidays with fewer friends or family members this year, why not spring for a splurge-worthy wine for the occasion! Upgrading your holiday feast with wine is a lot easier with fewer glasses to pour. Find a few of our favorite high-end bottles HERE.

We can’t help but celebrate with Champagne! From one of the oldest Champagne houses in France, the Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut has lovely toasty brioche notes with a touch of pineapple, apple and citrus. $36
If you’re looking to step up your red wine game, try the Hess Special Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a complex wine with lovely notes of dark cherries, currants and vanilla, plus a hint of cedar and mocha on the finish. $31
For chardonnay fans, this one is a stunner from Willamette. Tanji loves the Oregon spot for its pinot noirs, but this Lingua Franca Avni Chardonnay is what she’s raving about! You’ll taste bright apple and citrus with vibrant acidity. $38
Break out of your Cabinet habit for the Matarromera Criansza from one of my favorite wine regions, Spain. This luscious wine has an enticing smoky nose and is aged in both French and American oak. It will pair beautifully with any main course on your holiday table: Glazed ham, beef tenderloin, roast chicken — you name it. $30
With the holidays on the horizon, you’ll need a go-to sparkling for the celebrations. The Barone Pizzini Animante is a fantastic Franciacorta, the Champagne of Italy, and produced using the same traditional methods as the popular French wine. $30

We’re big fans of Oregon pinots—they have a ton of finesse and that includes the Domaine Drouhin Roserock Oregon Pinot Noir. This one comes from the highly acclaimed Willamette Valley known for producing stellar pinots. It has a soft, velvety mouthfeel with a luscious balance of blackberries, black cherries, and delicate layers of minerality. $36

Chardonnay is a great traditional holiday pairing and we’re recommending The Calling Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley. This wine is well-balanced with crisp acidity. You’ll taste bright notes of pear, melon, and lemon. $35

We Rosé year-round here at Goodtaste and since it pairs with just about any food, it would make the perfect addition to your holiday table! California born but with a French accent, the JNSQ Rosé Cru is clean and aromatic with notes of strawberry and hints of cherry. The exquisite bottle will be a great centerpiece alongside a big turkey. $28
