Oatmeal. It’s good for you, it’s delicious…and it’s one of the heartiest breakfasts you can have. In honor of Nationional Oatmeal Month, enjoy some this January!
Cook oatmeal per package directions.
Stir in the apple pieces, 3/4 of the nuts, cinnamon and maple syrup.
Distribute oats among four bowls. Top with milk and remaining almonds.
- 2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal (not instant)
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 medium apples – cored and peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup crushed almonds
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
