
Chef Nicola Smart's Strawberry Pear Smoothie
We love this Strawberry Pear blend from Chef Nicola Smart that may help you use up those holiday gift pears. A spoonful of chia seeds gives this smoothie a protein boost, along with iron, magnesium, and a bit of calcium.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe Pear
- 1 pint whole strawberries (2 cups strawberries)
- 1 cup cold water, coconut water, or milk
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients except the chia seeds into a blender and puree at high speed until smooth. Add the chia seeds and pulse the blender for a few more seconds to combine.
