After you've whipped up a batch of Max's Wine Dive's Fried Chicken, serve it with their famous collard greens. It's the perfect comfort food meal any day of the week.


  • 12 bunches collard greens (70 leaves)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 5 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 Cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 jalapeƱos, diced
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 Cup salt
  • 1 1/2 gallons of water

Recipe Info

  1. Clean, de-stem and chop the collard greens. Cut the onion, garlic and jalapeƱo into medium-sized pieces and place in the stock pot. Then, add the collard greens, red wine vinegar, sugar, salt and water. Bring the pot to a simmer and let it cook on a simmer for 4-6 hours.

  2. Serve alongside Max's Wine Dive's Fried Chicken.
