Paul's Kitchen Hot Chocolate

This recipe was created by Paul's Kitchen' pastry chef Kelsey Hawkins. Use this delish chocolate syrup recipe to make a great hot chocolate or even a yummy chocolate milk!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup  Sugar
  • 3/4 cup  Cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups  milk
  • 2 Tb.  Butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp.  vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp.  Cinnamon
  • Pinch salt

Recipe Info

  1. Mix the sugar, cinnamon and cocoa together. Bring the milk, butter and vanilla to a simmer. Slowly whisk the dry mix into your simmering milk, make sure to stir out any lumps. Cook over med heat approx. 5 min, till thickened a little. If making hot chocolate use 3 oz. of syrup to 1 cup warm milk. Top off with whipped cream, cinnamon and a little shaved chocolate!
