Pistachio Butter and Honey Sandwich

A tasty treat from Chef David Skinner of Eculent. Perfect for a lazy afternoon snack.


  • 2 slices  French bread
  • Natural Honey

Pistachio Butter:

  • 2 cups  raw unsalted shelled pistachios
  • 1/8 cup  extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp  kosher salt

Recipe Info

  1. Spread a generous amount of pistachio butter on 3/8 inch thick slice of good French bread. 
  2. Pour a generous amount of natural honey on top of the pistachio butter. Top with another slice of French bread.

For the Pistachio Butter:

  1. Spread pistachios on a baking sheet and toast at 350 degrees until just fragrant and starting to brown, around 5 minutes.
  2. Process hot pistachios and the olive oil in the bowl of a food processor until smooth and creamy, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add honey and salt and continue processing until smooth, about 4 minutes.
  4. Refrigerate in an airtight container, will last for up to 2 weeks.
