Treaty Oak Mint Julep
Made with Red-handed Bourbon Whiskey from Treaty Oak Distilling Co. in Dripping Springs, TX.
Ingredients
Julep
- 2 oz Red Handed Bourbon
- ¾ oz Mint simple syrup recipe below
- 4-5 sprigs Fresh mint
Mint Simple Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- ½ ounce Mint about one bunch
Instructions
Julep
- In a julep style glass, add crushed ice to the top and add Red Handed Bourbon. Top with mint syrup. Garnish with mint and serve.
Mint Simple Syrup
- Add one cup sugar to one cup water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, then add roughly ½ oz of mint (one bunch). Let stand for 15 minutes. Strain and allow to cool prior to adding to cocktails.
