Prego’s Butternut Squash Puree

Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole butternut squash, cut in half lengthwise and seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut squash and remove seeds and roast face-down on a greased sheet pan at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Remove from oven and scoop flesh from skin into a bowl and add butter and brown sugar and season to taste. Blend with an emersion blender until smooth. Can also be blended in a blender.
