Churros and Chocolate

Scrumptious churros, seasoned with ground cinnamon and sugar, and plated with a delectable chocolate dipping sauce from Batanga in H-Town!

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 stick Cinnamon
  • 4 ½ cup flour

Cinnamon and Sugar:

  • 4 cup sugar
  • 2 TB ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, melt 2 cups of milk chocolate with 2 cups of heavy cream. This is your dipping sauce.

For the Chocolate:

  • Bring butter, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, and 5 ½ cups water to a boil in a 4 qt saucepan over medium high heat.
  • Remove and discard cinnamon, and add flour; Cook stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until a smooth dough forms, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer dough to a bowl,and add egg; stir vigorously until is smooth.
  • Place dough mixture in a piping bag. Meanwhile, combine cinnamon and sugar in another bowl, and mix.
