Maple Yams with Roasted Pecans

Here's a seasonal casserole with all of the ingredients we crave for the holidays! This buttery maple yam mixture only takes about 15 minutes in the oven when it's ready to go. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 large Yams
  • ½ lb butter
  • 1/3 cup vanilla
  • 1 ½ T Cinnamon
  • 1 ½ T nutmeg
  • 1 ½ T kosher salt
  • 8 oz maple syrup
  • 1 ½ cup whole pecans

Instructions
 

  • Bake Yams for 1 hour whole.
  • Cut Yams each in ½ long ways. Scoop out inside and mash with fork. Add the next 6 Ingredients and mix together-Set aside.
  • Roast Pecan halves on a cookie sheet spread out evenly on 350 for 15 minutes.
  • Pour Maple Yam mix into a 9x13 inch glass baking dish.
  • Top Maple Yam mixture with Roasted pecans and place in oven for 12-15 minutes uncovered on 350 serve hot! Enjoy!
