Z’s Wood Fired Pizza in Boerne has some of the most unique pizzas in Texas, including one made to taste like one of our takeout favorites, crab rangoons. The Mr. Miyagi Crab Rangoon Pizza is topped with a creamy white sauce and then finished with jumbo lump crabmeat, fried wontons, and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce.
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour for dusting
  • 12 ounces pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 12 ounces whipped cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces lump crabmeat
  • 2 cups shredded fresh mozzarella
  • Sweet chili sauce for drizzling
  • Fried wonton strips and thinly sliced scallions for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F and place a pizza stone or rimmed baking sheet in the oven while it preheats. On a lightly floured piece of parchment paper, roll out your dough to one 14-inch round.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese with the garlic powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire, pepper, and salt. Spread about ½ cup of the cream cheese mixture in an even layer on the pizza dough, leaving a ½-inch border. Reserve the remaining cream cheese for another pizza.
  • Top the pizza with the crabmeat and fresh mozzarella. Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake until it is puffed and golden brown and the cheese is bubbling, about 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to a cutting board and let cool slightly. Drizzle with the sweet chili sauce and garnish with fried wontons and scallions. Cut into slices and enjoy!
